Beef Rendang is a traditional Indonesian dish that originated from the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra. It was traditionally served during festive occasions, such as weddings and religious ceremonies. It's a slow-cooked dish that's made with beef, coconut milk, and a blend of spices, including ginger, galangal, lemongrass, and turmeric. The dish is cooked until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened, creating a rich, flavourful dish that's perfect with a bowl of steaming hot rice.

In Singapore, Beef Rendang has become a popular dish in many local restaurants and hawker centers. Each eatery has its own unique take on the dish, with some focusing on the spice level, while others experimenting with different meat cuts. For instance, some restaurants serve a spicier version of the dish by adding more chili, while others use beef ribs instead of beef cubes for a meatier flavour.

I love the Papadum, it is a thin, crispy Indian flatbread typically served as an appetizer or snack. It's made from a dough of lentil flour, salt, and spices, which is rolled out into thin circles and then fried or baked. Papadum is often served with chutney or a yogurt-based dip.
