Hungarian Fasírt Beef Meatballs
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and marjoram until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until the mixture forms a soft and pliable dough.
- Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve the fasírt hot with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, or your favorite sides.
